Ewtor Blue Chip winning the Gundog Group

Ann and David Moss bought their first Cocker Spaniel in 1973. The showing bug bit very quickly and a second Cocker soon followed, this time a bitch. She was mated and the Ewtor Kennel was born.

The first home bred Ewtor was the Cocker Spaniel Ewtor Blue Chip who won 2 Challenge Certificates (CCs) and 1 Reserve Challenge Certificate (RCC) and the Gundog Group at the National Dog Championship Show in 1978. Following on from him came other Ewtor CC and RCC winning Cockers including Ewtor Hot Shot, Ewtor Silver Dollar, Ewtor Crusader, Ewtor Back Scratcher and not forgetting Show Champion Ewtor Cool Customer. By the time the last 2 of those Cockers came along they were in the ownership of Ann and David’s son Alastair. 1987 saw the Ewtor family grow with the addition of Field Spaniels then later Pointers.
